What is atrophic vaginitis?

Atrophic vaginitis is a disorder that consists in the thinning of the vaginal walls and a decrease in its lubrication. This results in increased vaginal dryness and inflammation.

It is caused, fundamentally, by a decrease in estrogens, which are the main female sexual hormone, being a very frequent problem in women with menopause (50% of women affected by menopause suffer from Vaginal Atrophy), influencing both their sexual functionality and their quality of life. Symptoms can be suffered for years, as long as appropriate measures are not taken.

The reasons are diverse and may have their origin in small sequelae of infections, atypical morphology, congenital malformations or simply apprehension to penetration.

Vaginal atrophy is a more common problem than is commonly believed, affecting women of all ages, although with a higher incidence in women after childbirth or during lactation. However, it is in postmenopausal women where the highest number of cases are detected, affecting one in two.

Symptoms

  • Vaginal dryness.
  • Pain or discomfort during sexual intercourse (dyspareunia).
  • Stinging or burning when urinating.
  • Urinary incontinence.
  • Vaginal prolapse; thinning of the vaginal walls.
  • Vaginal burning.
  • Small vaginal bleeding.

What is vaginismus?

Vaginismus is a vaginal constriction of the pelvic floor that causes discomfort, burning, pain, penetration problems or complete inability to have intercourse.

Vaginismus is a common cause of ongoing sexual pain. It can affect women at all stages of life; even women who have been having sex comfortably for years.

When a man tries to have intercourse with a woman, the pelvic floor muscle group goes into spasm and squeezes, closing the entrance to the vagina, making intercourse impossible and painful. This type of vaginismus makes penetration impossible.

In other cases of vaginismus, penetration may be possible, but the woman experiences periods of involuntary contraction that cause burning, discomfort or pain.

Symptoms

  • Burning or itching with constriction during sex.
  • Difficulty, or impossible penetration, pain on penetration, uncomfortable insertion of the penis.
  • Continued sexual discomfort or pain after childbirth, urinary tract infections,
sexually transmitted diseases, hysterectomy, menopause or other problems.
  • Continuous sexual pain of unknown cause, for no apparent reason.
  • Difficulty inserting a tampon, or having a gynecological/pelvic exam.
  • Spasms in other muscle groups of the body (legs, lower back, etc.) and/or interruption of breathing during intercourse attempts.
  • Avoidance of sex due to pain and/or failure.

solution

INTIMRELAX allows you to exercise and progressively dilate the vaginal canal. At the same time, it allows through small daily exercises to lose the fear of penetration. It is composed of three elements with a perfectly ergonomic shape and different sizes to solve palliatively this disorder with harmful effects on sexuality and psychological health in general.

INTIMRELAX should be used with a water-based lubricant to facilitate the exercises and at the same time lubricate and moisturize the vaginal mucous membranes.

Vaseline, which can damage the latex of condoms or diaphragms (risk of genital infection), or other oil-based lubricants are absolutely contra-indicated.

How is INTIMRELAX used?

First apply a little water-based lubricant at the entrance of the vagina (about the volume of a chestnut
) and massage gently for 2 or 3 minutes.

Then take the smaller INTIMRELAX element. Apply
lubricant in the same proportions to the tip.

Afterwards, start to press it gently and progressively into the vagina. If
dryness is noticed, it is necessary to add lubricant.

You can continue exercising for 10 to 15 minutes doing small back and forth movements. It is
important to keep in mind that the contraction of the vaginal muscles is adverse, so if
occurs, the exercise should be interrupted.

The objective is the relaxation of the vaginal area as well as the search for the pleasure that accompanies it so
that the use of a very comfortable place to perform the exercises and the accompaniment of a
soft music are indicated.

One session per day of INTIMRELAX is sufficient.

When the exercises with the smaller element allow a comfortable introduction without discomfort, it is necessary to follow the exercises with a larger element. discomfort, it is necessary to follow the exercises with a larger element.
